Camerata Busoni & Mark Lubotsky
Together with the Dutch concert agent KAM*, Camerata Busoni offers a limited amount of concerts, in which the legendary Russian violin virtuoso Mark Lubotsky will play the leading role. Central to these programs are two famous violin sonatas, written by Alfred Schnittke, dedicated to Mark Lubotsky. The concert - which can be named 'Historic' - are a tribute to Alfred Schnittke, who died ten years ago in 1998 and who would have become seventy five in 2009.

Camerata Busoni 'Chaconne'
At the basis of the many different programs that Camerata Busoni has to offer, there are the programs in which an important solo piano work by Ferruccio Busoni (1866-1924) is combined with one of the Piano Quartets by Brahms. Preferable these concerts Camerata Busoni would begin with a classical Piano Trio or String Trio. The title: 'Chaconne' reflects the desire of Camerata Busoni to perform, with dedication, the traditional chamber music repertoire from Bach to Ravel, time after time again.

The pianist Geoffrey Madge is recognized worldwide as one of the main interpreters of Busoni and is regarded as one of the few musicians with intricate knowledge of the Busoni esthetics. The Busoni recordings made by Geoffrey Madge for Philips (six cd's awarded with an Edison) marked an important beginning of the Busoni revival from 1980ties.
